Spicy tuna guacamole bowls are a fresh and flavorful meal. They combine creamy guacamole with spicy tuna, perfect for a light lunch or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna in water, drained and flaked
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Tortilla chips or lettuce cups for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mashed avocados, red onion, minced jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well to create the guacamole.
  2. In a separate small bowl, combine the drained tuna, sriracha, mayonnaise, and black pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Divide the guacamole among serving bowls.
  4. Top each bowl of guacamole with a scoop of the spicy tuna mixture.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or lettuce cups.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cumin to the guacamole.
  • If you prefer less spice, reduce the amount of jalapeno and sriracha.
  • These bowls are best served fresh.
