A quick and flavorful stir-fry with tender beef, bell peppers, and onions in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef with soy sauce and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over high heat.
  3. Add beef and stir-fry for 2 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  5. Add bell peppers and onions. Cook for 3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Return beef to the pan.
  7. Mix oyster sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Pour over the beef and vegetables.
  8. Stir-fry for 2 more minutes until the sauce thickens.
  9. Sprinkle with black pepper before serving.

Notes

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust spice level with chili flakes if desired.
  • Serve immediately over steamed rice.
