Juicy and flavorful grilled shrimp marinated in a zesty garlic herb sauce, perfect for a quick and impressive meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes, or up to 30 minutes. Do not marinate longer than 30 minutes, as the lemon juice can start to ‘cook’ the shrimp.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, if desired.
  6. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh shrimp.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Shrimp cook quickly, so watch them carefully to avoid overcooking.
