A quick and flavorful meal made in the Instant Pot, featuring tender chicken coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze.

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil.
  2. Add chicken thighs and sear for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add garlic to the pot and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in honey, soy sauce, and chicken broth. Stir to combine.
  5. Return the chicken to the pot, ensuring it’s coated in the sauce.
  6. Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
  7. Once done, allow natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then manually release the remaining pressure.
  8. Optional: Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the sauce to thicken it.
  9. Serve the chicken over rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, use the cornstarch slurry.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing the honey.
  • Substitute chicken thighs with breast for a leaner option.
