Tender chicken cooked in rich gravy using an Instant Pot.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Turn on the Instant Pot and select sauté mode.
  2. Add butter and olive oil.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and sprinkle thyme.
  6. Close the lid and set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  7. Quick release pressure.
  8. Remove chicken and set aside.
  9. Stir in heavy cream.
  10. Optional: Mix cornstarch with water and add to thicken gravy.
  11. Serve chicken topped with gravy.

Notes

  • Use boneless thighs for juicier results.
  • Adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
