Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup honey
1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
Cooked rice for serving
Optional toppings: sliced avocado, cucumber, green onions, sesame seeds, cilantro
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic to create the hot honey glaze.
Brush about half of the hot honey glaze over the salmon fillets.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
During the last 2-3 minutes of baking, brush the remaining glaze over the salmon. You can also broil for 1-2 minutes for a slightly caramelized top, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Serve the hot honey salmon over cooked rice.
Garnish with your favorite toppings like sliced avocado, cucumber, green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.
Notes
Adjust the amount of sriracha to your preferred spice level.
For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the hot honey glaze for 15-30 minutes before baking.
Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
