Juicy and flavorful grilled turkey burgers, a healthy alternative to traditional beef burgers. These burgers are easy to make and perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a summer barbecue.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  2. Form the mixture into four equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
  4. Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached and the burgers are cooked through.
  5. During the last few minutes of cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns on the grill, if desired.
  6. Serve the grilled turkey burgers on the toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like fresh parsley or thyme to the turkey mixture.
  • If you prefer a spicier burger, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can also bake these burgers in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
