Grilled salmon topped with a fresh and vibrant avocado salsa. This dish is healthy, flavorful, and easy to prepare, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a special occasion. The tender, flaky salmon pairs beautifully with the creamy avocado, zesty lime, and crisp red onion in the salsa.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill the salmon for 4-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flaky.
  4. While the salmon is grilling, prepare the avocado salsa. In a medium bowl, combine the diced avocado, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeño (if using). Gently stir to combine.
  5. Serve the grilled salmon immediately, topped with a generous spoonful of avocado salsa.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in a mixture of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can bake or pan-sear the salmon instead.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño to your desired spice level.
  • Leftover avocado salsa can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
