Grilled Pizza with Tomatoes, Asparagus, and Goat Cheese is a fresh and flavorful pizza perfect for a light meal. It features a crispy crust topped with vibrant vegetables and tangy goat cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for brushing
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup asparagus spears, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Lightly brush one side of the pizza dough with olive oil.
  3. Place the oiled side of the dough directly on the grill grates. Grill for 2-3 minutes, or until grill marks appear and the dough is slightly puffed.
  4. Remove the dough from the grill and flip it over onto a clean surface.
  5. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the grilled side of the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  6. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then top with goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus.
  7. Return the pizza to the grill, cheese side up. Close the grill lid and cook for another 5-8 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Carefully remove the pizza from the grill.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil, salt, and pepper.
  10. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh pizza dough.
  • Don’t overload the pizza with toppings, as this can make it difficult to cook evenly on the grill.
  • Keep an eye on the pizza while grilling to prevent burning.
  • You can customize the toppings with your favorite vegetables and cheeses.
