Grilled peaches with vanilla ice cream is a simple yet elegant dessert. Grilling brings out the natural sweetness of the peaches, and the warm fruit pairs wonderfully with cold vanilla ice cream.

  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Brush the cut sides of the peaches with olive oil or melted butter. If desired, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Place the peaches cut-side down on the grill grates.
  4. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the peaches are tender and have nice grill marks.
  5. Remove the peaches from the grill and let them cool slightly.
  6. Serve the warm grilled peaches with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
