Ingredients
Scale
4 ripe but firm bananas
1 cup chocolate chips (milk, dark, or white)
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1/4 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
Slice each banana lengthwise down the center, being careful not to cut all the way through to the other side. You want to create a ‘boat’ for your fillings.
Gently open the banana to create a pocket.
Fill each banana with a generous amount of chocolate chips, marshmallows, and chopped nuts.
Wrap each filled banana tightly in aluminum foil.
Place the foil-wrapped bananas directly on the grill grates.
Grill for 8-12 minutes, or until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted and gooey.
Carefully remove the bananas from the grill using tongs.
Unwrap the foil and serve immediately.
Add any optional toppings like caramel sauce or shredded coconut before serving.
Notes
Use ripe but firm bananas for the best results; overly ripe bananas may become too mushy.
Customize your banana boats with your favorite sweet fillings.
These are great for camping trips or backyard barbecues.
