- 1 whole frozen chicken (4–5 lbs)
- 1 cup water or chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Place the trivet in the Instant Pot and add water or broth.
- Rub the frozen chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Place the chicken on the trivet, breast side up.
- Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes per pound.
- Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Check the internal temperature—it should reach 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before carving.
