A crispy and fluffy baked potato made in the air fryer, perfect as a side dish or a base for toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the potato thoroughly.
  2. Poke holes in the potato with a fork.
  3. Rub olive oil, salt, and pepper all over the potato.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place the potato in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Check for doneness by inserting a fork—it should slide in easily.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
