  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, carrots, celery, and potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir well.
  4. Slowly pour in chicken broth while stirring.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook until vegetables soften.
  6. Add shredded chicken, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
