A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender beef, sweet ginger sauce, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef in soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
  3. Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from pan.
  4. Stir-fry bell pepper and broccoli for 2 minutes.
  5. Return beef to pan and mix well.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil and toss.
  7. If desired, mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and add to thicken.
  8. Garnish with green onions.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more brown sugar.
  • Serve over steamed rice.
