A crispy and delicious chicken parmesan made easily in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  3. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place chicken in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with olive oil.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes, flip, then cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Check chicken internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Adjust cook time based on air fryer model.
